the visit to Bokor Mountain easier, allowing a cool stroll through the

Thansuo Bokor Highland resort translates as “Paradise Place”, and it has
been just that for local and international tourists who have been
marvelling at its scenery and views for decades.
The resort is located 42km from the town of Kampot, and 32km from the foot of the famed Cloudy Mountain.
Cool air from the distant sea brings a relaxing breeze in December and January, much like the rainy season. Sometimes the clouds are so low you can walk through their mist.

Besides the mountain view, Bokor is surrounded by moist evergreen
forests, mixed deciduous forests in the north and massive rock
formations that are worth exploring.
In addition to the rainforest itself, with its unceasing insect and bird calls, the park’s main attractions are its water falls and the abandoned French hill station of Bokor.
In 1922, there was a single lane to the top where a casino resort and Catholic church welcomed all arrivals. Now, there is a broad highway, allowing access for any vehicle. It takes about 40 minutes to make the climb.
The French casino has been renovated as well. The waterfalls are about 7km from the top for those who seek a cooling dip.
Although National Park Bokor attracts thousands of local and foreign tourists food vendors remain scarce, so it’s best to take your own lunch.
