After more than a year of reading from a Torah that was loaned to them by a dear friend in New York, it was time for Chabad of Cambodia to receive their own Torah.
With the help of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, from Merkos L'inyonei Chinuch and Rabbi Yehoshua Rosenfeld of Chabad of Colombia, the Cambodian Shliach Rabbi Bentzy Butman received $25k as a substantial donation for the Torah from Mr. Jonathan Guberek, in memory of his grandparents Baruj and Gitel.
The five star Sofitel hotel was chosen to host the special event for Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012. A ten-man musical band was trained exclusively for the event.
The guest list included the main donor, Mr. Jonathan Guberek from Bogota, Colombia; Rabbi Butman’s mother, Mrs. Dvorah Butman; Rabbi Butman’s uncle, Rabbi Yehuda Butman, director of Chabad in Ramat Hasharon, Israel; Levi Moscowitz, Mashie Butman’s brother, from Los Angeles, California; directors of the Jewish communities in Bangkok, Thailand; Koh Samui, Thailand; Seoul, S. Korea and HCMC, Vietnam.
Jews came from all over country, including Batambang, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville and Ratanakiri. As a special souvenir, a miniature Torah made in Cambodia was given out to all participants of this monumental event.

Jews and Chinese will suck the blood of you, financially. Between the Jew or Chinese, choose Jew because you may have God on your side.
Don't curse the Jews or maltreated them, otherwise God will do it to you. Best is to leave them alone.
Don't worry about us. We Khmer have a lot of Gods before the Jew God was born. Our Gods will protect us from the Jews.
2:26 PM, don't be silly to claim that Indian or Cambodian god are older than the Jew.Only the Aryan god might be the contemporary one to the Jew.In fact, Brahman and Abraham are very close in sound and writing but opposite of meaning and concept.
Before human started fighting in big warfare battle and when our brain was not much developed yet,all mankind worshiped mothers and her beavers! yes seriously. Even the men did not know how the babies come out only from the women, they had to conceded to her supremacy!. Also that is why Khmers had the Queen as the Queen,of course, until Indian Guy came to disturb the good old day tradition.
Except for Muslin and Christian, all those Indian and Cambodian gods are made from human hand. That is why Cambodia is in such a pitiful state, they put their faith on gods made from hand!!
Bhudda is a philosopher. His teaching is similar to Jewish Ten commandments minus reference to God.
People over the years, made Bhudda into a god. Bhudda cannot help himself. He only tell you to live your life but Bhudda cannot follows his own golden rules. The only way that you can live Bhudda rules, is to live in a cave. The Jews as a nation cannot follows the Ten commandments. That is why they are dispersed among the Gentile in the history starting from about 1000 B.C.
The more different religions the more hatreds installed.
We definitely look forward to partnering with thewelisa a monsantoFederation again soon.
