(Reuters) - President Barack Obama hailed Muammar Gaddafi's death on Thursday as a warning to authoritarian leaders across the Middle East that iron-fisted rule "inevitably comes to an end," and as vindication for his cautious strategy toward Libya.
Obama joined U.S. politicians and ordinary Americans in welcoming the demise of Gaddafi, who was for decades regarded as a nemesis of American presidents, and also claimed some of the credit for the Libyan strongman's downfall.
But he also appeared to distance Washington from deeper entanglement in the North African oil-producing nation at a time of economic woes at home, placing responsibility for Libya's future squarely on the shoulders of the fractious interim leadership in Tripoli.

Hun Sen is next? I dont think so. US got bigger fish to fry.
Whatever happend to capturing him alive and prosecute him. Col. Gaddafi was bad but at least give him a chance to live to face justice through court martial. I sense conspiracy at play here
Gaddafi was overthrown.
The Libyan oil and gas is now controlled by the United States, France and the United Kingdom.
China is the biggest loser in his attempt to benefit the largest part economy of Libya.
The biggest loser in this Civil War is also hardly the Libyan people.
Hun Sen might not be the next one after Gaddafi, but this thing will happen to him if he continues to rule like today. Gaddafi refused to step down and swore to die a martyr rather than giving up power. Now he got his wish. Hun Sen said many times said he will rule until he is 90 years old, which is another 31 years to go, but he could meet his violent death before than due to the way he rule the country and trying to jail, arrest and kill his opponents. He will die at the hands of his colleagues from the same party. Hun Sen should look at Saddam, Gaddafi and other fallen dictators as examples. Gaddafi got billions and he was offered a choice to live in exile in peace, but he chose to die rather than giving up power. Now he got his wish, so may he live in peace with his wish.
I am happy to see Hun Sen die with the same fate as Gaddafi with bullet to the head. Waiting for UN to trial Hun Sen is going to be a joke just like the current ECCC, only putting on a TV show for the international committees.
So Bullets to the head or ECCC?
All of the above people are really way stupid.
You really don't know anything about Cambodian situation.
Cambodia is not ruled only by Hun Sen. It is controlled by Vietnam and China.
Let force these two countries to stop supporting Hun Sen first.
I believe if these two countries don't let go Hun Sen. Don't expect UN can dare to pull Hun Sen down.
In Libia, if China resists strongly, NATO cannot do anything.
Look at Korea War, you will see.
Chineses who died ten or twenty millions are nothing. But, what if NATO missed only 5 millions, you will see the resistances on the roads and might be not long, those governments will be pulled down by their own people.
Hun Sen do a flip-flop way. Sometimes, he is very generous. Sometimes, he is very cruel.
It's hard to pull him down.
Hun Sen regime is a networking regime or modified communism.
People are the hungry members of families and the authorities are the other relatives of those families. How can we break this system?
I view this as a last resort (or maybe a little further) that NATO tries to survive and block the strong influence of China to the world.
Buddha said, the law of nature; nothing last forever. Hun Sen fate will not be pretty if he continues to destroy Cambodia land. There will be revolution if continue to oppress people and no job in the country. Look how Thai killed Khmer for entered their country, look how the maid got rap and killed. What choice people have? soon, my friend... revolution is larking.
