Honestly, I think Kou prey and Khmer Kou srok had been naturally crossed-bred a long long time ago because of the close proximity of theirs habitats. Knowing full well that motorcycles and cars are completely different species but still frick each other on the freeway against all theirs master wishes, why not the kou prey and kou srok spent their romantic love affair along the green valley and curly fresh creek!? But then where the kou srok came from? The article speaks for itself. Khmer must have domesticated one of the kou species, more likely the weaker, smaller easier to catch first then proceeded to the better, stronger one the next time around. The best one,the hardest one to catch became known and called kou prey for quite sometime. But they are not matched and strong or fast enough to escape the bullets of those waring faction groups who ate everything including dog meat. I hope that few Kou prey still survive but they are the most elusive creature in deed.
