Hanoi was the father of Khmer Rouge and is the father of the CPP

By True Khmer
Re: The UN not tough enough to stop Hun Sen's criminal behaviour
Hi N student,

Ask yourself, Who created Khmer Rouge?

Why did Vietnam invade Cambodia in 1969 without Cambodian permission that led to full-scale war and Khmer Rouge rose to power and executed millions of people?

Between 1983-84, Hanoi sent hundred of thousands of Khmer civilians to landmine area, known as the K-5 Plan, as a result thousands of Khmer farmers lost their limbs and lives. So, did Hanoi really want to save us?

In 1979, the world was shocked by the horror of the genocide and starvation in Cambodia, why Hanoi did not let UN and the rest of countries to provide food supplies to Cambodian people? Although later on there were aids from NGOs and UN organisations, most of those aids had never been given to Cambodian people.

Without the collapse of the communist empire in 1989, and the die-hard Khmer coalition resistant forces, Hanoi would have never withdrawn from Cambodia. Today, Cambodia could have been a second province of Hanoi. Hun Sen and the rest of Hanoi's puppets like Heng Samrin and Chea Sim could still have been living in Hanoi's cages. Ask them, Hanoi's troops were guarding them like prisoners around their houses. Their immediate relatives were not allowed to see them, without top Hanoi permission. Hanoi would not let their puppets to travel as they wish too. Did Hanoi trust them?. Hun Sen and the rest of puppets should say thank you to all the resistance leaders that they were kind to allow them a new breath of life.

It was a mistake to my opinion, that the peace agreement was signed in 1991 in Paris while the communist Hanoi empire were in coma. It was King Shihanouk who was too keen to accept the peace agreement that was designed by Hanoi. Sihanouk was careless about the future of Cambodia as long as his palace is lifted.

Today, Cambodia is in full control by Hanoi agents like Tea Banh and Sok Kong and many others. Hanoi was the father of Khmer Rouge and is the father of the CPP. Sihanouk and Sihamoni are simply the prisoners in their palace.

People should remember the hard time Cambodia went through. Cambodia is not perfect democracy like the US where True Khmer is living. Don't get twisted by Cambodian political short view of few right wing group self claimed the savior. If people used to live in the KR regime they understood what it was like. I know it is the past and we shouldn't compare it through our current time now; I couldn't help it but to think back who was the savior to help Cambodia escape from the killing fields. Many critic like might say, it was a trick that Cambodia was trap by Vietnam. Whether it was a trick, trap or whatever you wanted to call it; I am glad they came in to invade the KR. Many people would agree that if Vietnam and CPP didn't come in, we probably dead and unable to write this article bashing the current leader unless True Khmer were born after KR era. Who were there to help us from the killing fields? I didn't see Sam Rainsy and his savior group or so call democracy friends. All I saw PM Hun Sen, Chea Sim, Heng Samrin, Pen Sovann and the Khmer/Vietnam armies etc. These people were there whether through Vietnam helps but they were there to help Cambodia undisputely. Cambodia was shut off from the world, we ate banana trees for living. War is a business, Vietnam invested lives, amunition etc, therefore Cambodia pay for the debts like we owe to US and China as the True Khmer mentioned in his article; there is no free lunch. Don't get twisted that they did it without a cost associated. You can call them pupet or Vietnam regime all you wanted but these people are Khmer that help save lives in 1979 and I will never forget them because they saved my life and many Cambodian families including True Khmer families if he was not those rich families escaped the country before the KR took over. Cambodia was like a waste land, no body wanted it. After 1979, people worked for foods during that time, we didn't have economic boom; some teachers were reward with lands because the government didn't have anything to pay them; many teachers refused to accept those lands because it was worthless or too far from Phnom Penh including my mother who refused to accept those plot land for her teaching salary. We didn't know land is worth so much monies like now. This why you see people fighting over land now. Back then, everywhere you went, there are dead bodies laying around, mass graves left as evidences from the killing machine. The group that you called "pupet" was there working from their bare hand to reconstruct the country. Now we have peace, economic booming, investor flocking into Cambodia, NGO fighting to stay free from Cambodia law without accuntability, opposition wanted to gain power through riot or pressure super power country like US or pin it against China to overthrow the current leader. Why? We forget that we went through these scenarios in the past; we had regime changed four times through forced. Have we learned anything? The rice is cooked now Sam Rainsy wanted to kick the cooker out of the kitchen. It is up to Cambodian to uplift it economy, self sufficent, etc. If you don't work hard and expect the West to come in and rebuild your country; you are in a dreaming world my friend. Don't get bend out of shape because PM Hun Sen is not educated like Sam Rainsy but he is as smart as other leaders. He was not a rich kid that never seen war; all Sam Rainsy did was study in France. PM Hun Sen was in the jungle fighting what he believed as good causes to help Cambodia during that time without full knowledge of what UN as the author indicated. PM Hun Sen doesnt have those highly educated childhood friends. However, I know for a fact that he can count on his uneducated friends when trouble come. They may not as educated as those people in France but they know the value of friendship and what is "True Khmer" is all about.

Hi True Khmer, It seems that you - the writer of "who created Red Khmer" were just born yesterday for not realizing all the politcal development in Indochina in the 70s was heavily influenced by China. When China strongly backed North Vietnam to fight against the US, Cambodia followed Beijing instruction to support North VN's armies, And when Beijing was angry with North Vietnam after Hanoi turned to Soviet Union, Beijing ordered Red Khmer to (committed sucide) went to war with Vietnam. The China-Vietnam war in 1979, in which China said it wanted to teach Hanoi a lession, was just China's revenge after Vietnam "killed" Red Khmer. Now you can understand "who is who" as long as you respect history.
In my view, if you want to be "true khmer", you should contribute something to Khmer's well being by putting the past behind and bulding friendship and co-operation with all Cambodia's neighbours./. I m just "Normal Khmer" in Thailand.

True Khmer think he knows it all. He seems to know alot and probably does but I am not sure why he thought other nation especially the Western will look out for Cambodia. We should becareful when the super power collided; the small country gets hurt. Like the big elephant.

Yes, China and Vietnam who created the KR. Well written, True Khmer.

China created the KR and Vietnam created both the KR and the Pak Pracheachun, the precursor of the CPP. These two countries have the most Khmer bloods on their hands.

Not sure who's the savior here but I know who responsible for the route of cause of Khmer suffering it was the Vietnamese who engineer all these problems upon Khmer peoples and our old dumb leaders for playing the weaker opponent.

I understand that you dislike Hanoi, but almost all the facts you are representing here are wrong. It is true that the Vietnamese troops created K-5 plan, but the Vietnamese troops did not send and never forced hundred of thousands of Khmer civilians into these landmine area. K-5 plan was created to fight against Cambodian Resistant Fighters (KR, CNLA, and the KRA). It’s matter of records, the Royal Thai Army was the one who forced the Cambodian Refugees to cross these mine fields as the result many Cambodians were killed at Preah Vihear.

Again, Vietnamese did not invade Cambodia in 1969 as you stated. In the early 50s, Prince Norodom Shihanouk was making a deal with Ho Chin Min to protect the sovereignty and integrity of Independent and Neutral Cambodia. Ho Chin Min had promised Prince Norodom Shihanouk to recognize and regard the border posts which was left by the French, and which was opposed by South Vietnam. Ho Chin Min also had promised to return Kampuchea Krom back to Cambodia. Within this deal, Prince Norodom Shianouk will hope the North Vietnam against the South Vietnam by permitting the supplies and troops to flow through the Kingdom of Kampuchea and allow the Vietcong to do hit and run against the Americans. Prince Norodom Shihanouk did not do anything wrong with this deal, if the Vietnamese had kept their promise. This incentive deal seemed too good to be true at the time, but by the same token, it was too good to turn down. Prince Norodom Shihanouk needed time to arm the Cambodians as he accepted the deal. He believed either North Vietnam or South Vietnam would lose the war, his country would have won. He needed time to create a large army in order to attack for the final blow and to finish off the exalted Vietnamese force at the end and it made no difference whether or not the Vietnamese backed off the deal. He would force them to keep deal. If he was not overthrown, would he his plan have worked? This is a big question to answer, but I know for sure Cambodian people are no sissy. If the leader able to unite them in arms, they will fight. They are great fighters. Just remember this: Cambodians do not fight like heroes, but heroes that fight like Cambodians. However and whatever the answer is, the Prince never betrays his country as many of us stated here.

When the ‘60s arrived, everything the Prince Norodm Shihanouk touched seems to turn into gold. His long time enemy, the President of South Vietnam, who tried to assassinate the Prince, got assassinated. He took Thailand to ICJ over Preah Vihear Temple and he won. Cambodian economy was booming. Every Khmer citizen loved Samdact Oy .He had all of the Cambodian borders protected by the Vietcong and Kang Reksa Srok (the formal name for Khmer Rough) Kampuchea National Defend Force. He also had begun to create more Cambodian Armed divisions under General Lon Nol, Enh Tham, and others. What he did know was the water which kept his boat afloat could also drown him.

The peace agreement signed in 1991 in Paris was not designed by Hanoi. It was designed and agreed upon by many countries including the United States. Prince Norodom Shihanouk who had accepted the peace agreement, because he knew his party had the upper hand, and he was right, which put his son in power. It was not the Prince’s fault, that his son, Prince Norodom Rannareth, did not know how to rule.

To comment above; I don't know who you are but your assessment made alot of sense. History is man made and written as man wanted to be written. We read and seen many video clip that was produced by foriegner such as Western country. I started to doubt and question why would they wanted to tell the truth story? At the same the royal blood line have disgrace the monarchy image as you can see prince rannaridh did in the past with his corruptions mentality. I sometimes wonder what would happen if King Sihanouk didn't get overthrown. The history would changed. If Kennedy didn't get assinated, Cambodia would have been dealing with different history? thank you for sharing the true story.

Make correction. CNLA should be KPNLF. I'm sorry about this one.
