Nine Khmer Krom associations, some were affiliated with the opposition Sam Rainsy Party, have today sent a petition to the visiting French Prime Minister Francois Fillon through the French embassy in Cambodia, asking the French government to provide documents relating to the cession of Kampuchea Krom to Vietnam's control on 4th June 1949.
The petition also asked the French government to intervene to the Vietnamese government to stop persecuting and abusing the rights of Khmer Krom people.
The evicted residents of Boeung Kak Lake and those who faced eviction have sent their petition to the French prime minister through the French embassy on Friday.

ញ្ញតិ្តនោះមានន័យស្នើសុំឲ្យរដ្ឋាភិបាលបារាំងផ្តល់ឯកសារទាំងឡាយដែលទាក់ទងនឹងការសម្រេចចិត្តរបស់អាណាព្យាបាលបារាំងក្នុងការប្រគល់ទឹកដីកម្ពុជាក្រោមឲ្យទៅវៀតណាមកាន់កាប់កាលពីឆ្នាំ១៩៤៩។ ញ្ញត្តិនោះក៏បានស្នើសុំឲ្យរដ្ឋាភិបាលបារាំងជួយអន្តរាគមន៍ទៅរដ្ឋាភិបាលវៀតណាមចំពោះការរំលោភបំពានសិទ្ធិលើពលរដ្ឋខ្មែរក្រោមដែលជាជនជាតិដើមភាគតិចផងដែរ។

The question; what do you do if you were granted the meeting. France cannot fight Vietnam t get the land back.
Dumb ass question, narrow headed question
It is nice to hear that Khmer Krom are raising this issue with the French prime minister. But is also sad that the Cambodian government is very silent on the issue of Khmer Krom, Kampuchea Krom and anything to do with encroachments by Vietnam.
Prey Nokor (SAIGON) and all South Vietnam were occupied by Vietnam since 1600s before French even came to South East Asia then how are they include in this conflict? It's not their problem and they don't even care!
