The Cambodian government has released a statement saying that it fully supports the International Court of Justice (ICJ) decision and will do everything to facilitate the presence of Asean observers in the demilitarised zone drawn up by the ICJ.
The statement said the decision is a victory for Cambodia and thanked the Cambodian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Hor Namhong that has made great effort to achieve this victory.
The Thai government has also welcomed the decision and said it will also comply with the ICJ decision.

How could you call this victory? What is the definition of victory? ICJ ordered Cambodia to withdraw its troops from it soveriegnity. Thailand should withdraw not Cambodia too. Are you kidding me, this is call victory. This is bullshit ruling. ICJ created DMZ for what? Creating DMZ so that Thailand can come back to renegotiate share of the dispute area and Preah Vihea? Thailand should withdraw its troop period no if and or but about it. This was the main purpose Cambodia went to ICJ in the first place. Addition, Gen. Prawit made statement couple weeks ago not to accept ruling from ICJ and now the ruling seem to be in their favor, they seem quited about it and Cambodia called it a victory? Cambodia can reject the ruling because Thailand never has any intention to comply or take order from ICJ. How is this ruling is a victory. You give up your land for peace. If this is what you call victory, you might have give everything to them. I am very disappointed. Could somebody explain how this is victory? Cambodia went to court for what? Indirectly, ICJ decision is not in Cambodia favor. How could anybody so blind by the wordings? ICJ just gave Thailand greenlight that there is a dispute area by creating DMZ. PM Hun Sen claimed in the past that there is no such thing as dispute area. Why is your government taking this bullshit deal? Dont think that PM elected Yingluck is any different from others. She is PM of Thailand not Cambodia and she will looking for the best interests of her country. ICJ ruling gave Thailand 50% of the dispute area already. Thailand achieved it purposes by ensuring the world recognizing that there is a dispute area. What map are using? If ICJ using the right map then there is no such thing as dispute area. Creating DMZ means there is dispute area. The human right group welcome the decision. Are you kidding me Ou Virak?

it is a provisional measure to ensure there is no more fighting while the icj is working on the interpretation of the court decision.
