It took roughly 700 years to reduce Khmer Empire to her current state and it took roughly 400 years for China. Now they both have something in common, a desire to be respected. China and Khmer are 2 of the oldest civilizations in Asia. For over 2,000 years, these 2 civilizations never had war over each other. During the peak of Khmer Empire era, China and Khmer were worthy opponents, just as today's India and China. Yet, China and Khmer decided to coexist and never resort to war. They decided to be friends. Now, they are still friends and continue to be in the future. Anyone like or not, in less than 30 years, China will be the world superpower. Any big or small friends of China will share this benefit. Cambodia will benefit from Chinese rising economy and military power. The rising of current Cambodia's economy is much largely due to China investment in Cambodia. If any of Cambodia enemies to the east or west highly desire to do anything stupid to Cambodia, China will not allow its investments in Cambodia go to waste. The perpetrator will be dealth with by China. Becareful how you look down at Cambodia!!!!!

Who says anything about Khmer came from China and the same bloodline? I think 5:19 pm meant that Khmer(the descendents of Funan and Chenla) are the native of their land for thousands of years and they share somewhat similar history. Khmer empire was very strong and a friendly neighbor to China. For many centuries, China had been constantly facing attacks and invasion by outsiders for 400 years as Khmer faced attacks and invasion by outsiders for about 700years. Now I think things are beginning to turn around. When China waking up, Khmer(Cambodia) will also be waking up.
