Cambodia and Thailand Is Scheduled To Host a Joint Concert

Cambodia and Thailand had held a joint concert in Bangkok in later 2010. Here, Preap Sovath, a Cambodian rocker sings Khmer and Thai songs on 28th November 2010 during a concert to mark the 60th anniversary of Khmer-Thai diplomatic friendship.

New thai ambassador Sompng Sanguanbun (R) called on Cambodian Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith last Tuesday.

AKP
Phnom Penh June 24, 2011–Cambodia and Thailand discussed to choose a date for the performance of a joint concert for greater cooperation in media and information exchange between the two countries.

Cambodian Minister of Information H. E. Khieu Kanharith met with a new Thai Ambassador to Cambodia Mr. Sompong Sanguan Bun in Phnom Penh last Tuesday and the joint concert which was due to be held in Phnom Penh last April, but was cancelled because the border fighting, was raised again during the meeting.

The minister told his guest that Cambodia and Thailand should choose any date before September to perform the concert and Cambodia’s Hang Meas TV station, which is due to be inaugurated in the near future, will organize and televise the concert.

In the past, both countries have appointed officials in charge of the external relations between the two countries, but they are in small number and young and too shy to ask to confirm with ministers or high ranking officials for accurate information and publish inaccurate news which has caused public confusion and concerns, he said, adding that to avoid any future confusion the reporters can call him directly to confirm.

He cited the recommendation from Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen who have said “Promote friendship and cooperation and reducing conflict between our neighbors.”

In reply Thai Ambassador Mr. Sompong Sanguan Bun expressed thanks to Cambodian Minister for his courtesy visit and for the direct contact for accurate information.

Some Thai media have also reported inaccurate news such as a recent article saying that Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya had asked the Thai delegation to the UNESCO meeting in Paris to walk out, is not true, he said, adding that Thai Prime Minister and Foreign Minister merely directed the Thai delegation to ask Cambodia to defer Cambodia’s management plan for Preah Vihear.

What wrong with acting young? You dont have to act old; you got to enjoy yourself man. You are not Buddha, you are flesh so dont pretend you are some type of godness. You have fun, be happy and live longer. I like his life style and dont change for any body. Stay healthy, stay young forever..
