Deputy Army Commander General-Major Hun Manet the eldest son of Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced that he would give 1 house and 5 rai of land plus a few thousand baht of their normal salary to anyone who are willing to become a soldier and fight against Thailand. This announcement has been broadcast in Sam Rong Province and A-long-weng province.
Meanwhile, Army region 2 spokesman Colonel Prawit Hukaew said that currently the army could not predict when the fighting would stop as Cambodia were now recruiting more soldiers to fight against Thailand. He further said that after the ceasefire agreement there was another breakout of fighting later that night, however, he had called Cambodia and asked for their reason, they said the announcement had not yet reached all of their units and also some soldiers refused to listen to their orders.
Colonal Prawit added that after the conversation, the fighting had lessened, which was considered a good sign.

We need to fight to take all of our lands back that were lost to Thailand. We lost paradise. We lost beautiful beach, forest, and beautiful provinces to Thailand. If we have our land back, Cambodia will have a prosperous kingdom. There will be greater number of tourism (ecotourism & liesure toursims), more rice field to plant rice, and more fruits and vegetable for exportation. More money to Kambuja

We need to defend our territory. If we need more troops, we should recruit more. But Hun Sen should send most Cambodian best troops, who are mostly kept at his mansions to protect him, to fight the Thais at the border. Cambodia has enough troops to defend the little areas around ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples but the fact is that most of the troops, especially the best troops, are deployed around barracks in Phnom Penh to protect Hun Sen against a possible coup.

elite units are deployed to the border occupying both the first and second line of defense, 70th Protection Brigade is mostly depolyed the second line of defense while a few are deployed to the front.The PMBU brigade is deployed the same way as brigade 70th but smaller in number. paracommando 911th is also depolyed in the area. so dont say khmer dosent have elite units fighting ok. learn your facts
