A front line Thai commander had on Wednesday 16th February admitted that his troops had thrown and exploded grenades at night because they are scared that Cambodian troops will sneak in to attack them at night time.
The Thai admission came during a meeting between Cambodian and Thai commanders on Wednesday afternoon. When asked by Mr. Neak Vong why Thai troops always exploded grenades and shooting into Cambodian territory at Phnom Trop at night time, a Thai commander of the 6th Division said they did that because they are scared that Cambodian troops will sneak in to attack them at night.
Cambodian troops at Phnom Trop, 5 km east of Preah Vihear temple, claimed that Thai troops had always exploded or thrown grenades and fire mortar shells into Cambodian territory at night time every night since the ceasefire agreement reached on 7th February. However, since the meeting between Cambodian and Thai commanders on Wednesday, Thai troops had stopped firing or exploding grenades at night time.
However, according to everyday.com, Mr. Norn Thin, commander of the 392nd Brigade based at Ta Sem and O'Chak Chreng, 7km east of Preah Vihear temple, has told donors that at 10:20 a.m on Tuesday morning Thai soldiers had used a slingshot to shoot at a Cambodian troops' cooking pot, causing the food to spill over. Mr. Norn Thin said that when Cambodian troops went to pick up the pot, Thai troops fire a slingshot again, but the Cambodian troops did not respond because they knew that Thai troops are trying to provoke a fight.

Next time if you see a Siem using a sling shot, I would suggest our soldier would use a blow dart gun with a poison tipped toward his neck area. And video taped with a video phone and put on Youtube. This would definitely guarantee an oscar nomination.
12:20 PM, agree.Thai troops are taunting and provoking a fight because they are stronger militarily. it is good that Cambodian troops have shown the utmost restraint to these provocations. i also suggest that Cambodian troops should videotape every Thai move and provocation for evidences.
Don't forget to record the dead Thai
soldiers too and post it on youtube so we can see.
