December 14, 2010, MP Son Chhay leads a delegate of 17 MPs, SRP members and hundred of villagers in Dar commune, Memot district, Kampong Cham province to visit border post no 109, 108 and border demarcation no 103. Many families complained bitterly about their lands being lost due to the new border posts.
At the border demarcation no 103 there were more than 10 armed Vietnamese soldiers who have stopped the delegation inside Cambodia territory where unarmed Cambodian Police and Army were standing hopelessly watching the illegal act by the Vietnamese soldiers.

This is a tragedy for us again, the YOUN Soldiers with guns came into our land stop our leaders and our farmers that living in the area from travel within our territories and our pathetic policemen and army standing around doing nothing. Why is this happening to us? Why isn't our police and army carrying any guns?
This is a serious violation. The Viet police crossed into our territory to stop our people's representatives from visiting our own borders. The Cambodian authority should just kick them out or protest at the highest level with the Viet authority. Cambodia is a virtual prison because we don't even have freedom to visit our own territory.
