Koh Pich Bridge, which was the scene of Cambodia's worst stampede which killed 353 and wounded 329 people on 22nd November, will be re-opened to the public on Wednesday 8th December, two and half weeks after the tragedy had occurred.
The Buddhist priest known as Achar Ma, or Priest Ma, said he has been tasked with the blessing of the bridge to appease and to drive off the souls and spirits of the ghosts for the re-opening of the bridge.
He said on 8th December, there will be hundreds of Buddhist monks blessing two spots on the bridge before the bridge is re-opened to the public.
