A Singaporean company will invest $120 million to build a 5-star hospital in Phnom Krom district in Siem Reap province to cater for high-heeled local Cambodians and 2 million international tourists who visited the nearby ancient temples every year.

Mr. Peanh Kosal, Coordinator for Investment and Construction of this hospital, said the construction of this international standard hospital will commence at the end of this year.

He said the company will spend $40 million for the construction, $70 million to purchase medical equipments and $10 million for the shipments of those equipments. "We hope that under this investment, Siem Reap will have a modern hospital to satisfactorily provide medical and health services to the local and international patients", he said.
