Cambodian officials have angrily rejected Thai allegations that Cambodia has provided terrorist training to 39 Thai red shirt anti-government activists, by brainwashing them to hate the Thai royal family.

Pol Lt Col Payao Thongsen, a senior Thai official of the Department of Special Investigation, had claimed on Monday that 39 Thai men had been trained in Cambodia's Siem Reap province and that 28 have returned back to Thai to carry out terrorist activities and 11 were arrested in Chiang Mai last week.

However, the Thai allegations had been angrily and swiftly denied by Cambodian officials. Mr. Tith Sothea, Cambodian spokesman for the Press and Quick Reaction Unit, angrily denied the allegations, saying Cambodia had never provided money or training camps to the Thai red shirt anti-government movement. He accused the Thai side of violating the agreements reached between the prime ministers of the two countries in New York on 24th September whereby both countries had agreed to scrutinise and exchange information first before releasing it to the public and the media.

Mr. Tith Sothea claimed that on 5th October, a Thai Commander of Military Region Two had already denied that there are any Thai red shirts doing training inside Khmer territory, saying that they were hiding along the border inside Thai territory. Mr. Tith Sothea said the Thai red shirt activists will be arrested if they entered Cambodian territory illegally.

Mr. Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Cambodian Council of Ministers, has also denied the Thai allegations, saying it is a fabrication. "So I think this accusation is a made-up story to blame Cambodia, and is also [part of the] campaign against the red shirts, using Cambodia as a springboard for Thai local politics," he said.

"It is a nonsense for Cambodia to foster [trouble] with anyone," he added.

The Cambodian Foreign Ministry had also denied the Thai allegations. "Cambodia had always respected its constitution, especially Article 53 which prohibits the presence of foreign troops on Cambodian soil. So the Thai accusations that there are Thai red shirt activists being trained in Cambodian territory on how to use weapons are false accusations", said Mr. Koy Kuong, spokesman for the Cambodian Foreign Ministry. He has accused Thailand of making the same false accusations again and again. He had also accused Thailand of blaming Cambodia for its inability to resolve its internal problems.

Since the word " terrorism" is such an evil and destructive word, anyone, any organization, or any nation inherits such term is being view as a very baaaaad thing. Thailand wants to label Cambodia as a state that sponsors terrorist activities. It is making wild guess and ignorant assumtion. Thailand tries to legitimate this labeling to create a reason for it's political and military agenda. Thailand had been "cry wolf" about Cambodia lately. Much of the "cry wolf" were mostly made up stories without proven fact. The more Thailand pointing fingers at Cambodia for the sake of Thailand's political agenda, the more Thailand becoming less credible in it accusation of Cambodia.
