Typhoon Ketsana has killed 14 and wounded Cambodians and destroyed homes, rice-fields and farms around the country.
Cambodian military sources said that Typhoon Ketsana has on 29th and 30th September caused destruction around Preah Vihear temple when the force of typhoon caused large trees and rocks around the temple to fall.
Sources also said that the heavy rainfall had caused large rocks on the cliffs to collapse to the roads at Makara road and the access road behind Wat Keo Sekha Kirisvarak pagoda.
Gen. Srey Doek, commander of the Preah Vihear area, said he had already ordered the crane to remove the rocks from those roads.
Troops based at the frontline complained of chilling conditions and said that due to strong winds they cannot stay inside their tents, but they have to stay inside their underground trenches.
As of 1st October, the rains had stopped but the sky remains dark and cloudy in the whole of Preah Vihear province.
