Khmer Krom communities residing in Cambodia have commemorated the 60th anniversary of the loss of Kampuchea Krom territory to Vietnam on the 4th of June 60 years ago, reports Deum Ampil.

1,949 Buddhist monks and thousands of Khmer Krom people living in Cambodia have joined the commemoration service at Wat Botum Pagoda in Phnom Penh.

There were representatives from the royal palace, the opposition parties and from the Funcinpec Party, but the government didn't send any representatives to join the commemoration service.
