A large string of reported cases brought against civilians and activists on charges of 'creating public disorder', 'sedition', 'violating national security law' etc. have all related to undeclared or covert activities of powerful personalities that make up the current ruling clans and elite. From uprooting temporary border sticks/markers and staging town hall protests to posting on-line information deemed hostile and critical of the regime, those accused, convicted and handed, often a hefty prison term, had sought to defend nothing more than their immediate means of livelihood and basic fundamental rights, or to promote general awareness relating to questionable state policies and practices that are liable to harm public interests one way or another, such as the various commercial activities that can be seen to directly destroy and impair the already severely stressed natural environment and ecology that in turn play a critical part in supporting and sustaining local lives .
By contrast, the prosecution party would invariably be formed of formidable influential figures mentioned above, and have disproportionately greater at stake to defend - from the right and privilege to rule the country indefinitely whatever the democratic aspirations or mandate, or lack thereof, to exclusive access to the accumulation of corporate wealth and protecting vast financial empires. It is no accident that the country's leading tycoons and their subsidiaries are closely affiliated to the ruling political elite and are fiercely protected by them, or that the PM himself is a known major share owner of a major high street bank, beside numerous other undisclosed investments that make him today among the world's wealthiest men.

Thus, these judicial precedents clearly indicate that where and whenever the nerves and power base of this tightly-knit conglomerate are under threat [or perceived to be so], the response will usually be swift [and at times, even brutal] and the punishment of necessity makes the crime, and not the other way around.
Once trained and indoctrinated in communist tactics and ideology, these ruling elements would have known of the importance and relevance of incidental details and tensions that could organically give way to sweeping, momentous change in due course: one single spark could ignite the prairie fire. Ironically, a movement that actively exploited, incited and utilised such tensions and resentments vis a vis officialdom at the grass roots in their quest for total state control and power have today shown no qualms in quashing like civil disturbances.
