PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Kem Sokha, Vice President of Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) denied on Saturday that he asked to promote his daughter to become a lawmaker.
Sokha made the rejection after there was a media report, which said that Kem Sokha wanted his daughter, Kem Monovithya, to become a lawmaker by replacing a Phnom Penh lawmaker, Keo Sambath, who is seriously sick.
"There is no such information and it is not true," he said.
"My daughter never wants to be a [lawmaker]," he added.
