PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Kem Sokha, Vice President of Cambodia National Rescue Party, on Thursday criticised Cambodia’s development under Prime Minister Hun Sen's 30-year rule.
Sokha's criticism came after Prime Minister Hun Sen marked yesterday the 30th anniversary of his rule in Cambodia when he became Prime Minister of Cambodia in 1985.
"Please compatriot notice with me: The development of this group is followed by businessmen's want. The businessmen want land and forest in any place, they tell them to say how much, and when they agree on price, they will allow those businessmen to invest by not caring about the impact on the national and people," Kem Sokha told supporters in Koh Kong province.
He said he said he risked his life for the achievement of peace and ended conflict between the Cambodian people and Khmer Rouge soldiers through Win-Win policy, while the United Nations spent up to 2 billion US dollars, but could not end the war.
