PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Prime Minister Hun Sen said that he discussed the country's political deadlock yesterday with visiting Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida.

Speaking today at National Fish Day in Kampong Chhnang province, Hun Sen said he told the Japanese Foreign Minister that if opposition party [CNRP] joins the National Assembly, it will be welcomed. However, if they continue boycotting, we will lead the country until 2018.

We still continue reforming the election system despite no foreign aid, the premier said, adding that the date for next election will be held early in February, 2018.

He said he told Fumio Kishida that the opposition party demanded that members of National Election Committee be approved by two-thirds majority vote.

But Hun Sen said such a demand would destroy democracy in Cambodia because it can cause stalemate.

Hun Sen is nothing. He is a trash talk. If he thinkg he is a strong man, he should man up to the Vietnamese and bring up the living standard of all Khmer and stop destroying the environemtn. Allow the Chinese and Vietnamese destroy Khmer natural resources, kill your own people is not consider a strong man. I dare Hun Sen to stand up for Khmer!
