Senior officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Cambodia's royalist Funcinpec Party met on Thursday to discuss ways to further promote party-to-party ties and cooperation.
The meeting was made between Guo Yezhou, visiting vice-minister of the international department of the CPC's Central Committee, and Princess Norodom Arun Rasmey, president of the Funcinpec Party.
Guo said his visit to Cambodia was to further enhance and deepen ties and cooperation between the CPC and its alliance parties in Cambodia, including the ruling Cambodian People's Party of Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Funcinpec Party.
He highly spoke of excellent ties and cooperation between the CPC and the Funcinpec Party and pledged to further promote the relations through increasing the exchanges of visits between senior officials.
For her part, Princess Arun Rasmey hailed good ties between the two parties and vowed to further develop the ties for next generations.

Funcinpec was founded in 1981 by late King Father Norodom Sihanouk, who was the founder of Cambodia-China diplomatic relations in 1958. The party did not win a single seat in a parliamentary election in July last year.
Guo arrived on Tuesday for a four-day visit. On Wednesday, he met with senior officials of the ruling Cambodian People's Party.
