CPP, CNRP talk expected to resume after council election

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) –The ruling Cambodian People’s Party and the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party are expected to resume their talk after the council election scheduled for this weekend, official said Wednesday.

“Cambodian People’s Party and Cambodia National Rescue Party may continue the talk after city, provincial, district and commune council election,” CPP’s senior official Cheam Yeap told the Cambodia Herald.

But Cheam Yeap said that the talk cannot be held unless Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha agree with each other before they go to the negotiation to sign the previous agreements including the agreements on what Sam Rainsy and Prime Minister Hun Sen agreed on April 9.

“The Cambodian People’s Party always keeps the door opened for talk in all levels with the Cambodia National Rescue Party to bring the citizens peace and development,” he added.

The CPP and CNRP talk has been at standstill for a month following their previous talk in which the opposition party demanded the National Election Committee be constitutional institution.

The demand was rejected by the CPP.

Talk again?

Now the CPP set a condition. Cheam Yeap said if Kem Sokha and Rainsy didn't agree to sign the agreement Rainsy made with Hun Sen, there won't be any talk. So, what's there to talk about if the CPP said no talk, but just come and sign.

The agreement is not an agreement unless it's signed, so what Rainsy said on the phone with Hun Sen was not an agreement because it was over the phone and nothing has been signed.

The looser already set a condition prior to talk.
The winner acted like a looser and always wanted to negotiate, even making a phone call to a looser first.
Didn't I hear from Mr. RAINSY that we are postponed all negotiations due to violence on protester?

Are you going to keep your words? Or broke your promised AGAIN.
Talk is cheap when it comes to ANIMALS.

Poster 2:06 am, I agreed that CPP lost the last election. Only the top CPP leaderships, Youn, a few self-interest country that came really quick to reconize CPP winner.

Now, you said that CNRP acted like looser and CPP acted like winner. This you are rights. The CPP still remained strong in powers because Cambodian unprofessional, corrupted, military back them. They are willing to kill thousands of Khme to keep Hun Sen in power. Are our peoples are willing to loose lives like Khmer Rough did. These CPP thugs are actually ex. Khmer Rough who defected to our enemy. Are you willing to go there to bring CPP Hun Sen down ? Also, a few powerful neighbors are behind Hun Sen because he gave our land and natural resources. Even this puppet king back up Hun Sen. We had many countries supported us CNRP but so far ONLY LIP SERVICES. Cambodian have to ask themselves. IS THE PRICE OF FREEDOM FREE ? IS THERE ANY COUNTRY IN THIS WORLD GAIN INDEPENDENT THIS EASILY ? DO WE TRUELY HAVE A REAL FRIEND WHO CARES ABOUT POOR KHMER PEOPLES? ARE WE WILLING TO LOOSE MANY LIVES BEFORE THE WORLD PAY REAL ATTENTION OUR QUEST FOR INDEPENDENT & FREEDOM?
