PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- The Cambodian opposition party today appealed to the Cambodian people to lend helpful hands to the Chinese tourist and investors who escaped from violence in Vietnam.
“In light of the current unrest in Vietnam affecting people of Chinese descent, the CNRP appeals to all Cambodians to extend a helping hand to any people fleeing political violence in the neighboring country,” the CNRP said in its statement released today.
“Please provide them with any assistance they may need, especially food, shelter and protection, in accordance with humanitarian principles, Buddhist precepts and the Khmer traditional hospitality,” the CNRP added.

Good idea, because China had been our only true friend through good and bad times.
Even CPP/Youn can't denied this plea. Plus, many of us are of Chinese mixed. Still, most Cambodian that mixed with Chinese loved and protected Cambodia. Vietnam had always been our rivalry and enemies through out centuries. They had never had any good intention to be our good neighbors. Youn directly or indirectly had comitted genocide on Cambodian peoples. They failed when they use ignorant Pol Pot to anniliate Khmer peoples. Millions of Cambodian inside and outside still strong. I really hopes that Vietnamese have a change of heart and be our good respectful neighbors but this will never happen as long as they still have ambitions to annex whole Cambodia.
I really felt sorry for the Chinese peoples who are the victims of political between PRC and Vietnam.We Khmers must help our Chinese friends in time of needs because the Chinese peoples had helps us when we need it helps. I hope PRC won this fights. Cheering for China. A strong China mean weaker Vietnam.

I agree totally with you. I think, after discussing with our compatriots outside our country, that the immense majority of cambodians agree with your position.
Chinese a lot better then Vietcong for sure.
