Sam Rainsy, President of Cambodia National Rescue Party, is speaking to reporters after his return from abroad.
PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) – Referring to the negotiation with the ruling Cambodian People’s Party, the opposition leader believes that there is another way to break the deadlock.
Speaking Tuesday to reporters after his return from abroad, Sam Rainsy, President of Cambodia National Rescue Party, said that he would consider any kinds of possible means in order to respect the will of the people who are demanding change.
When asked if he would lead the protest, he said he hasn’t yet decided yet.
The Cambodian-French politician added that the Cambodian people living abroad are eager to see change like the people in the country.
Sam Rainsy left the country on March 14 to drum up support in New Zealand and Australia.
During the visit, Sam Rainsy urged the New Zealand Government to join calls for new election in Cambodia, and asked the Australian Government to lead an international investigation into Cambodia’s last July general election.
