Foreign observers who don’t know the Khmer language and culture are fooled by the CPP propaganda into believing that the word "Yuon" -- meaning anything related to Vietnam, in the same way as "German" means "Deutsch" for anything related to Germany -- is derogatory or even has racist connotation.

Each time I publicly use this word “Yuon,” those foreigners backed by some foreign-funded local NGOs eager to please their misled benefactors, criticize me for using a "derogatory term with racist connotation."

However, if you do Google search in Khmer by just entering the word "យួន" (Yuon), you will find "about 113,000 results" referring to writings in Khmer containing the appellation "យួន," published over a recent period of time, which means that this word "Yuon" is being used by everybody everyday in Cambodia, in all occasions, without having any pejorative connotation. This is confirmed by the most authoritative Cambodian dictionary published by the Buddhist Institute and used by every Khmer student and scholar. See a previous Facebook posting at http://tinyurl.com/kn9m7p2

As shown in the attached examples, pro-CPP medias (newspapers and TVs) also use the words "Yuon" (encircled in red on documents presented here) and "Vietnam/Vietnamese" interchangeably.

it is the new political correctness espoused by the socialist supporters... even now in the US illegals from mexico or any country south of the borders of the USA cannot be called illegal aliens.... newly preferred term is'' undocumented person'' .. and those who still use the word illegal aliens to refer to these people who came into the US illegally , are now considered racist.and politicians are now pandering to them because they plan to give them legal status against the will of the US citizens, so that these illegals would vote for them to stay in power.
