PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) – Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) has said that UN Special Rapportuer will accompany Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on January 14, according to its press release today.
Surya P. Subedia, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia, will visit Cambodia from 12-17 Jan. to assess and examine the progress of human rights in Cambodia.
The CNRP leaders Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha were summoned to appear at the court after the deadly clashes on Veng Sreng street last week.
They were allegedly accused of inciting crimes and social unrest after they led the protest which was attended by workers throughout the country, against the election result and to demand wage be raised to $160 per month for garment workers.
The violent clash last week in front of Canadia Industry Park left at least five people dead, about 40 injured and 23 others were arrested.

Every year, 50-70 Cambodians shot dead by Thai rangers at the border. Why? These Cambodians were poor and they were alleged for cutting the rosewood in Thai forest.
Did Rainsy protest?
What about the last riot. Mr. Hun Sen was trying to protect Cambodia's jobs. I have read some articles about international businesses are worrying about their factories in Cambodia as well as stopping bringing new jobs into Cambodia.
I remember reading an article, a whole line of Cambodian, father and sons were shot dead on spot by the Thai rangers. There were only 10 or 15 Cambodians in the forest and the Thai rangers open massive amount of fire power to kill these poor Cambodians.
So, who protest and protect these poor Cambodian loggers?

Dear 1:28 AM. Thank you for your good input. I heard that the evil Viet-controlled Hun Sen had ordered the suspension of the Constitution. Wow! He is the law. He walks over the law.
Hun Sen is the most dangerous animal in the Kingdom. Whoever praises or advocates him is also an animal, because only animals can get comfort from within their own kind. In other words, barbarians hang out with barbarians.
I agree with you. All those Viet-controlled judges must face their own crimes against humanity. In due time, they will. Nothing lasts forever.
It is the job of the leader of the country to protect the lands from being grabbed by the Viets, and people killed by the Thais.
If Hun Sen cannot protect the lands from being robbed by the evil Viets and people killed by the evil Thais, then step down. You are useless Hun Sen. The Thais kill your people. The Viets rob your lands left and right. And now you kill your own people with the orders from the Viets. You are no leader. You are a gangster.
