Talk is good way to find solution: CNRP official

Give our kids a better deal
PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia herald) – The opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party is showing its stance again to negotiate with the ruling Cambodian People's Party to break the current political deadlock after July's general election, said a Party’s spokesman.

Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) showed its position to find solution to the deadlock after Prime Minister Hun Sen said that Cambodia People's Party always keeps the door open for the opposition.

Hun Sen said that there is no way to solve the political deadlock rather than joining the National Assembly together.

During the meeting yesterday with UN envoy, Hun Sen asked Surya P. Subedi, UN Speical Rapporteur on situation of Human Rights in Cambodia, to convince the opposition lawmakers to attend the parliamentary session to solve the current issues.

Referring to the comments made by Hun Sen, a senior official of Cambodia National Rescue Party  said that the working groups of the two parties shall meet soon before joining the National Assembly.

"We have to discuss all the issues before talking about joining the National Assembly," said Yem Punharith, CNRP's spokesman.

"The good way to find solution to political deadlock is the meeting between Khmer and Khmer," he said.

He said the technical groups will meet to discuss remaining issues before the meeting of the leaders of the two parties.
