However, the real Cambodia's total land was 181,035km2 and Vietnam's total land was 331,210km2.
Now, Cambodia is getting smaller, while Vietnam is getting bigger. Where did the missing parts of Cambodian land go to? And where did Vietnam get its additional land from? It's not hard to figure out.

Cambodia is not getting smaller, Cambodia is getting bigger. The ICJ recently awarded the surrounding land to the temple as Cambodia's land. The number on the wiki page is entered by a human. We can enter a bigger number to make you happy?
Vietnam is getting bigger every years actually. How? Let me demonstrate my superior knowledge. Vietnam controls two huge river delta. Each year the alluvial deposit will cause the delta to advance toward the sea. In fact, I think Vietnam should aggressively plant the mangrove forest at the new land to retain the land, and allow faster advance.
I read thousand of books and know ALOT. Just ask and I explain. I even know why the Khmer empire collapsed and why Khmer capital got sacked so many times, thus the Khmer people was almost destroyed.

vietnam is actually losing a lot of land , mostly mountainous land due to landslides from forests destruction...also some part is their land is sinking every time there is high tide the whole towns would be flooded by the sea...and not to mention they have plenty of sinkholes and landcracks happening right now... just do a google search for those key words....same with thailand , and cambodia is next if they keep cutting down trees/forests.

The big obvious problem with the opposition group is:
THEY ARE FIGHTING OVER SO MANY ISSUES: Democracy, Justice, land grabbing, territorial conflict, human right, job/poverty.
But they are weak and have not real talents.
I cannot view the opposition group seriously until their leader is worthy to meet an American president. You notice Rainsy never got to meet any American president.

Let me provide a simple explanation for the Khmer folks to understand why Khmer collapse.
Khmer was into building stone temples. To build the Angkor Wat, Khmer empire collect people into one huge area, thus it's like putting all the eggs into one basket. That's a very bad idea.
The over use of irrigation, and specifically the increase in saline/salt level in the land started to cause crop failure.
If you have a population of 1 million but food for only 600,000; internal warfare erupted. When the empire was so weaken, the Thais swooped in to sack the capital.
The success of the Khmer empire was also its cause for demise. Thai folk was the vassal levied in part to build the temple will always seek a chance to topple the empire. And Thai will not permit the empire to rise again, that's why they sacked again and again.
Since Khmer empire clumped everyone into one place, it was easy for the Thais to hunt down the Khmers. Had the empire was spread out in to area such as the Mekong delta (Khmer krom), the Khmer empire can recover.
But history showed that Khmer folks never got any relief army from the Mekong, not it ever consider to move the capital there. The empire was so concentrated in one area to build that gigantic temple.

P.S. When I was in my early teen, I fought many fist fights for my right to exist among the dark-skinned kids. I learned a rule: I was weak, but I was clever. Once I had the upper hand (after I threw dirts into the opponent's eyes), I must finish my opponent before the guy can recover from the eye attack.
That's why the Thais never allow Khmer empire to recover from the initial sacking. They will sack again and again.
The Vietnamese however, was different. They were weak and absorb Khmer kingdom into them to gain strength. In fact, when the Khmer really have contact with the Vietnamese, those Vietnamese were the Nguyen lord's subjects. These people were only 1/4 of the number of the other Vietnamese lord, the enemy. Thus the Nguyen lord's initial policy was to lean the back with the Khmer so that they can concentrate the fight against their Northern Vietnamese.
Therefore, the Nguyen lord will do anything to protect the Khmer to secure their back. The Khmer in return, need the Nguyen lord to be strong to fight the Thai with them.

In the civilized world, news and stories must have two sides. If you just want 1-sided opinion, you can call this site Khmerization Propaganda. Then this site is all about non-truth seeking and nonacademic for gullible people.
Oh yeah, it is even worse, this site allows comments with killing, murdering incite statements.
Nobody in the right mind would want to associate with the opposition full of racial hatred, murderous thought.
Mr. Hun Sen won easily because his opponents are making so many mistakes.

Cambodia and Khmer people have more problems to deal with, instead of worrying about 35 sk of land loss: Thailand already took hundreds times more than that and when are they going to return? 200,000 Chinese tourists overstayed their visas (Asean tourism report), annually to conduct businesses, marrying locals, penetrating economy, infiltrating political systems...In less than 10 years, similar Khmer Rouge genocide again...
