Map of Kampong Cham province and the districts will be detached to form Tbong Khmom province
PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) – King Norodom Sihamoni ordered to create a new province by detaching some districts from Kampong Cham, the second most populated province in Cambodia.
According to the royal decree dated December 31, 2013, one town and six districts of Kampong Cham will be detached to form Tbong Khmom province.
The detached areas are Suong town and Tbong Khmom, Ou Rang Ov, Kroch Chhma, Punhea Kraek ,Memot and Dambae districts.
The formation of the new province was proposed by Prime Minister Hun Sen.
