CNRP leader Sam Rainsy leaves after a meeting with ruling party leaders at Royal Palace

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- The meeting between the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) leaders, under the chairmanship of King Norodom Sihamoni, abruptly ended less than a half an hour after their arrival to the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.

This morning's meeting orchestrated by the King, began around nine o'clock Saturday morning and ended shortly there after.

Reporters were seen waiting outside the Royal Palace to capture photos of the CPP and CNRP leaders.

Opposition party leader, Sam Rainsy, didn’t give any comments to reporters upon leaving the Royal Palace.

Rainsy said yesterday, that he would tell the King that he and his party were not satisfied with the election results, and if a solution can't be found regarding the election issues, there will be no talks.

Because the meeting was shorter than what was expected, many are raising concerns that a solution to the two parties election differences will never be resolved.

However, both opposing parties haven’t yet given their comments regarding this morning's meeting.
