Give our kids a better deal
From left, CNRP senior officials Ou Chanrith, Son Chhay, Mu Sochu, Sam Rainsy's wife Choulong Somora, and the two opposition leaders Kem Sokha and Sam Rainsy went to an International Airport to welcome the return of King and Queen Mother.

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath returned from Beijing, China Wednesday afternoon after more than weeks visit to conduct routine medical checkups.

Prime Minister Hun Sen, government officials, National Assembly Chairman Heng Samrin, members of the royal family along with opposition party leaders, Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha attended the welcoming ceremony at Phnom Penh International Airport.

An hour before the royal's arrival into Cambodia there was speculation that Hun Sen, Kem Sokha and Sam Rainsy sat in the same VIP room of the airport.

During the welcoming precession, the leaders of the CPP and the CNRP were seen being indifferent towards each other and left the airport separately.

Cambodian National Rescue Party leader Sam Rainsy, told reporters before he left the airport that he and Kem Sokha didn’t see Hun Sen in the VIP room.

He said his only goal was to welcome the return of the King and Queen Mother.
