ការដែលអង្គការរដ្ឋាភិបាលចំនួន ២០ បានធ្វើពិធីបួងសួងសុំសន្តិភាព, ការដែលក្រុមសហជីពចំនួន​១៥ និងលោក សម រង្ស៊ី ផ្ទាល់បានស្នើរសុំឲ្យមានការឈប់ធ្វើការចល័តទ័ពនោះ គឺជាសញ្ញាដ៏វិជ្ចមានមួយដើម្បីនឹងជួយបន្ថយកំដៅនយោបាយ ដែលអាចឈានទៅដល់ការផ្ទុះអំពើហឹង្សា។

នេះគឺជាសម្បទានមួយដែលគណបក្សប្រឆាំង និង សង្គមស៊ីវិលបានធ្វើនិងស្នើរសុំដើម្បីផលប្រយោជន៍ជាតិ។ អី្វដែលគេរង់ចាំមើលនោះថា តើគណបក្សប្រជាជន, ជាពិសេសលោក ហ៊ុន សែន ផ្ទាល់, នឹងឆ្លើយតបទៅនឹងសម្បទាននេះយ៉ាងណាដែរ?

ដើម្បីផលប្រយោជន៍ជាតិនិងប្រជាជនខ្មែរ គណបក្សប្រជាជនត្រូវតែមានឆន្ទៈនយោបាយក្នុងការដោះស្រាយជម្លោះនៃការបោះឆ្នោតដោយសុទ្ធចិត្តដោយសុខចិត្តបង្កើតគណកម្មការឯករាជ្យមួយ ដើម្បីធ្វើការស៊ើបអង្កេតដ៏មានតម្លាភាពមួយដែលអ្នកបោះឆ្នោតអាចទទួលយកបាន។

ការមានៈពុំព្រមរកដំណោះស្រាយតាមការស្នើរសុំពីអ្នកបោះឆ្នោតនោះ អាចនឹងនាំមកនូវមហាបាតុកម្មដែលអាចនឹងឈានទៅដល់ការផ្ទុះឡើងនៃអំពើហឹង្សានិងការបង្ហូរឈាម។

គណប្សប្រជាជន, ជាពិសេសលោកនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី ហ៊ុន សែន, អាចនឹងមិនបារម្ភពីមហាបាតុកម្មនេះទេ ដោយលោកសំអាងទៅលើការប្រើប្រាស់កម្លាំងយោធាដើម្បីបង្ក្រាប, ក៏ប៉ុន្តែសូមសួរថា តើលោក ហ៊ុន សែន ស្រឡាញ់ជាតិមាតុភូមិនិងប្រជាជន ឬក៏លោកស្រឡាញ់អំណាចជាង? តាមអ្វីដែលយើងបានសង្កេតឃើញកន្លងមកនេះគឺបង្ហាញថា លោក ហ៊ុន សែន ពិតជាស្រឡាញ់អំណាចជាងជាតិមាតុភូមិនិងប្រជារាស្រ្តរបស់លោក។

The prayer for peace organised by the 20 NGOs, the calls for the cessation of troop mobilisations from 15 NGOs and Sam Rainsy​ himself, are positive signs in the easing of political tensions that could degenerates into the eruptions of violence.

These are concessions that the opposition and the civil society had made for the interests of the nation. What remains to be seen is, what the ruling CPP, especially Mr. Hun Sen, will respond to these concessions?

For the sake of the nation and the Khmer people, the ruling CPP must have the political will to resolve the electoral dispute sincerely in order to conduct a transparent investigation that is acceptable to the voters.

Recalcitrance in the refusal to find a solution requested by the voters can lead to mass protests which could cause the eruptions of violence and bloodshed.

The CPP, especially Mr. Hun Sen, might not be concerned about the mass protests because he has at his disposal the armed forces to crack down on the would-be mass protests, but the question is, does Mr. Hun Sen love his nation and his people or does he loves his power more?

From his past actions, it clearly indicated that he definitely loves his power more than his nation and his people.
