6:03 am, you know that radios in Phnom Penh are owned by Hun Sen and the CPP, with the exception of sambok Khmum.
You already knew that these radio stations lie or only report the good things about Hun sen and the bad things about the opposition - no truth. Did you ever see them report about the Boeung Kak eviction? No new about opposition, you never see picture of opposition politicians on TV, except Hun Sen and his corrupt CPP leaders. Is this what you called good radios and TVs?
CPP government owned 99% of all media in Cambodia. To be fair I had seen RFA, VOA did reported news on evictions, government corruption allegations. There is one important aspect people left out,in Cambodia words of mouth travel around. Many Khmers are illiterate so they are prong to fall for lies. This KR genocide past played a very important parts in discouraging peoples to speak out against the ruling government. Khmer Viet Minh & KR really still controlling Royal Government Of Cambodia and backed up by Hanoi. These are some of the reasons Cambodian opposition groups had a very hard time in any election. Khmer peoples still only wanted stability and not asking for anything else such as FREEDOM, INDEPENDENT, LIBERTY, ETC ETC. So the flood gate is wide open and no opposition can stop the flood of suppression. intimidations, killings, cheating, corruptions. You need the whole society to say we want equality and real democracy. How can there be change when whole Khmer society too scare to ask for these changes. Media just reflex the current situations.
