Listen to the interview at Radio Australia.

A major showcase of Cambodian art has wrapped up in New York, ending almost two months of contemporary art on the world stage.
From the traditional forms like shadow puppets and ancient ballet, to photographs and installations, 'Season of Cambodia' has tried to give a sense of the old and the new, with many local arts institutions and venues getting involved.
Amy Lee Sanford is a Cambodian-American artist who works in a variety of media.
Her work explores the evolution of emotional stagnation, and the lasting psychological effects of war.
She was one of five artists in residence at Governor's Island.
Presenter: Liam Cochrane
Speaker: Amy Lee Sanford, Cambodian-American visual artist, Resident-artist at Season of Cambodia
