From the traditional forms like shadow puppets and ancient
ballet, to photographs and installations, 'Season of Cambodia' has tried
to give a sense of the old and the new, with many local arts
institutions and venues getting involved.
Amy Lee Sanford is a Cambodian-American artist who works in a variety of media.
Her work explores the evolution of emotional stagnation, and the lasting psychological effects of war.
She was one of five artists in residence at Governor's Island.
