Sereymon to seek Hun Sen intervention [A culture of intervention should stop and the law of the land must prevail all else]

Give our kids a better deal
Singer Khemerak Sereymun

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald)-- Sunday production singer Khemarak Sereymon and oldies comedian Choung Chi, better known as Neay Koy, plans to seek help from the Prime Minister.

Speaking at a press conference held recently, the two entertainers said, they have not been given proper compensation by the SK Company for the accident on March 7th that took the lives of four people.

Khemarak Sereymon, plans to seek intervention from Hun Sen because the SK company haven't responded to them about the damages they are responsible for by their driver.

"I lost a son of mine but the company doesn't acknowledge that we are victims also. We want the company to compensate for the lost and damages which was caused by their driver," Neay Koy told Angkor Thom magazine.

"We want a solution because life is priceless."

Khemerak Sereymun, who's still in shock  said, he lost a lot of income and he too wants a solution.

"Each family demands only $25,000. In fact, it's not an adequate price because it's life," he said. "The company has to compensate if they want the victims to feel calm and to get some money to pay for the funerals.

"I feel that after this press conference, the company will also feel this way, and if they still ignore us, we will seek help from Prime Minister Hun Sen because he's always the one who helps entertainers and people in difficult situations."
