SAM RAINSY RECEIVES FREEDOM PRIZE FROM INTERNATIONAL WOMEN GROUP
While attending the 58th Congress of Liberal International (LI) in
Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) Cambodian opposition leader Sam Rainsy yesterday
received a Freedom Prize from an international women group affiliated
with LI and based in Spain, "Dones Per La Libertat I La Democracia"
(Women for Freedom and Democracy).
The Prize recipients are selected once every two years.
Four people have been awarded this Liberal Women Freedom Prize as of
today.
The previous recipient before Sam Rainsy was Simone Veil, former
French senior Cabinet member, former President of the European
Parliament and currently a member of the Académie Française. The Prize is a reward for world figures who have been effectively defending human rights, especially those of women, children and ethnic minorities, and have helped preserve peoples' cultural identities.

El Premi Llibertat és atorgat per l'associació Dones per la Llibertat i la Democràcia amb el qual es pretén guardonar a la persona física o jurídica d'arreu del món, la trajectòria de la qual s'hagi destacat en la defensa dels drets humans. Vetllant especialment pels drets de les dones, els infants i les minories ètniques o nacionals, i en el compromís i defensa de les cultures i identitats dels pobles.
S'atorga des de l'any 2002, i les guardonades fins avui han estat tres
dones de reconegut prestigi internacional en la defensa dels drets
humans i de les dones.
El jurat està configurat per diverses personalitats de reconegut

Congratulation the honorable Sam Rainsy you deserves the recognition from the world communities.Keep on seeking freedom for those whose suppressed by the ironfists of dictators of the world or of Cambodia like Hun sen regime today...God bless you sir....

Freedom? he hasn't even gone to jail.
Wrongful conviction doesn't count on world stage.The person should be in prison was Hun sen and his cronies for murdered the innocent khmers during coup defeat in 1997 grenades attacked that killed 19 protesters and wounded 120 bystanders/opposition protesters,according to Heng Pov,Hun Sen ordered his right man Hok Lundy to carried out the killing of khmers innocent people.Hun Sen and his Cpp henchmen should be jailed,not Sam Rainsy.
Justice.
This proves that Sam Rainsy is still recognized on the international stage despite a conviction by the kangaroo court in Cambodia.
The political system in Cambodia has been seen by the world as a child-play.
