PHNOM PENH, 18 October 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - The prime ministers of Laos and Vietnam
will visit the Royal Palace on Friday to pay tribute to the late King
Father, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
said.
Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong is scheduled to lead a delegation to the palace at 15:00 while a delegation led by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will visit 15 minutes later, the ministry said.
The ministry added that Dung would also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen at the palace.
The three leaders had previously been scheduled to hold a summit in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday and Saturday to discuss a development triangle in northeastern Cambodia, southern Laos and the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
King Father Norodom Sihanouk died in Beijing on Monday. His body returned to Cambodia on Wednesday and is to be on public display for at least three months before being cremated.
