PHNOM PENH, 13 October 2012 (Cambodia Herald) -Cambodian entertainers are
increasingly disappointed with meagre earnings from performances in the
United States, according to the latest edition of Popular Magazine.
Contrary to popular belief, the magazine said they preferred performing in Cambodia as they can earn more.
One said the granting of US visas to many stars meant that there was now an over-supply of Cambodian acts in the United States.
Singer Pov Socheata is nevertheless planning a US tour. The beauty salon owner says she reckons she can boost her earnings by performing in a double act with Ek Siday.

Observers believed that stars would gain high chance for earning good amount of money
during show in abroad. However, Entertainers claimed that they preferred staring in local than abroad as they earn less.
The reason leading to a complaint, an entertainer said, was because of many stars have been granted visa to perform oversee.
US embassy has offered allowance for stars to live music in US leading concern to entertainers as saying that they didn’t get much during the performance.
However according to Prochea Prey magazine releasd October 1-10, a beauty salon owner and singer Pov Socheata said she would leave Cambodia for United State.
She said she believed that she could earn more during her performance in United state with another singer Ek Siday.

I won't pay a penny for this entertainer,but I'll pay for those poor beggars kids on the street,help them to find decent work.
Don't come to the US, you might end up picking up garbage looking for bottle. We want a real singer like Sin Samout or RSreysothea.

Many of these entertainers come here for the money and not fame. They sell their bodies on the side after the shows. I know, many of my peers has paid for it. Not hard. These entertainers have no class like many western countries. If they really have true talents they wouldn't have to sell their body. They come here with cocky attitude because in Cambodia they are held high with little effort where as in the U.S we want our money worth.
So yes, in Cambodia they can make more. Simply by getting a sugar daddy. Not because the population is more wealthier than the U.S. That`s just absurd! HAHAHA
agree I rather go to strip join rather than watch this classless entertainers.
