PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Singer Sok Pisey vanished from the
entertainment industry almost a year ago, saying she was going to
Singapore to study make-up.
Her disappearance was hardly surprising. Supported by a businessman, she was enjoying a lavish lifestyle in a modern villa with cars and lots of money.
Some observers, however, suspect she's still in Phnom Penh and is four or five months pregnant.

Sok Pisey has denied the rumors in a video posted on her Facebook account, insisting that she is studying makeup in Singapore and will resume her career later.
Some fans, however, remain suspicious. They note that her appearance in the video is different from when she was performing. They also wonder why someone so successful would abandon her career to study make-up.
Observers note that a wealthy Cambodian-American man was said to have paid her medical expenses when she was injured in a car accident in Sihanoukville.
Sok Pisey, who lost a sister and grandmother in the accident, has rejected that rumor as well.
