PHNOM PENH, July 27, 2012 (Xinhua) -- The embassy of China to Cambodia on
Friday awarded annual scholarships to 56 Cambodian students to pursue
their bachelor's and master's degrees in China.
The students major in economics, commerce, information and communication technologies, engineering, agriculture, political science, international relations and laws.
Ambassador Pan Guangxue said the Chinese government has always attached great attention to the development of human resources in Cambodia.
"Education is the foundation for the social and economic development. China will try to offer as many scholarships as possible to Cambodia in order to develop human resources and to further enhance friendly relations between China and Cambodia," he said at the granting ceremony.
According to the ambassador, China provides at least 50 scholarships every year to Cambodian students for studying in China.
Phoeurng Sackona, secretary of state for Cambodia's Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, expressed sincere thanks to China for granting scholarships to Cambodian students.
"The scholarships reflect China's attention to the development human resources in Cambodia, a key element for the country's development," she said.

china is not that great, more than half of the population of china probably want to come to live in US, if they could. They don't have too many allies like US. China's good friend is Russia, North Korea. They help current khmer government because Hen sen government is dumb and stupid. Vietnam and China help cambodia, at same time they suck cambodian blood.
you should thanks china for bought thousands of acre of khmer land and all other businesses in Cambodia. Soon they will buy khmer people to work as their slaves, they will control your lives. Do you think Thai, Vietnam, China would care about the future of Cambodia? No, they don't. They help you, they destroy you, they brainwash you for their own good, for their countries. My point here is that it's time for khmer people to stop letting any country controlling us, taking our land, moving freely to settle in Cambodia. Look at your neighbors, how many of them are not khmer? What will happen in the next ten, twenty years?
