The night’s auctions and games raised more than £60,000 while corporate donations totalled £15,000
The DFNI Hollywood Charity Ball, held on April 20 at the Lancaster Hotel
in London, raised at least £75,000 ($121,000) for Toutes à l’école
association, a French project providing education for underprivileged
girls in Cambodia. The money raised at this year’s event, the 17th
edition of the DFNI Charity Ball, will be used to provide comprehensive
medical care to the young girls at the Happy Chandara school.
The live auction, which included gifts such as a Burberry VIP luxury
shopping experience worth £3,000 ($4,800) and a trip for two to Cannes
in October including a room in a superior hotel and delegate passes to
Tax Free World Association (TFWA) World Exhibition, raised about £40,000
($64,600), while the silent auction and games raised roughly £10,000
($16,150) each. Generous cash donations totalling £15,000 ($24,220) were
also added to the ongoing total.
The final amount raised through the event will be announced next month.
In the meantime, please watch a video of the night below and thank you
for your generosity.
