PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) – Sam Rainsy Party Acting President Kong Korm (pictured) said Saturday that the opposition party would field him as candidate for vice chairman of the Senate.
Speaking to the Cambodia Herald, he said he was "not yet sure" when Senate Dean Oum Manorine asked whether he wanted to run as first or second vice chairman. He said he would need to talk with Senate Chairman Chea Sim before March 20.
The first session of the new upper house elected in January will be held next Saturday. The session will be presided over by Oum Manorine, 88, and include voting for the positions of first and second vice chairmen.
Chea Sim has declined Kong Korm's request for the opposition party to hold significant positions in the new Senate.

I sincerely congratulate and wish Mr Kong Korm becoming the first vice chairman of the senate. I also wish for the changing of SRP logo. To be successful and practical in the hectic world environment and affairs, you need more than the candle!! Even flash light which is not vulnerable from the heavy breeze of wind is not going to last that long without swapping batteries more so often. I'm thinking about light source which could emit bright light so people can see miles away. Lighthouse is easily come to my mind but that is also outdated and Khmer has never had one. How about the cooling tower of a nuclear power plant with rings of flood lights around to warn off the upcoming air crafts?! We did not have one either but everybody are proud of having one.
Other than that, a swirling galaxy in the middle of dark blue space and column of high energy light oozing out from the black hole would terrify the CPP to death!!
Hehe. I like your thinking B2.
