PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) – Thailand has informed Cambodia that it is conducting war exercises nine kilometers from the border in Ordor Meanchey’s Banteay Ompil district, a senior military official said Friday.
Brigadier-General Neak Vong, deputy commander of Brigade 42, said Thailand advised that it was using mixed weapons and tanks in the exercises although the Cambodian side had yet not heard anything.
The deputy commander praised Thailand for informing Cambodia in advance.
