Georgetown, Malaysia (Bernama)- Malaysian police has ruled out any abuses in the death of a Cambodian maid, who died on 17th July in suspicious circumstances.
Late last week, a concerned Malaysian citizen sent an email to Khmerization reporting that the maid had died under suspicious circumstances, probably due to abuses at the hand of her wealthy Malaysian employer. However, the Malaysian police insisted that the girl had died of pneumonitis or inflammation of the lungs.
After Khmerization alerted the Malaysian Police, the Malaysian Embassy, the Cambodian embassy in Malaysia and some Cambodian MPs on 23rd July, the case made headline and both the Malaysian police and some Cambodian MPs, notably Mrs. Mu Sochua, had promised to pursue the case.
