If Cambodian people truly had a choice of who they can chose to be their real leader, it would be someone who understand Cambodia and knows people lives and their difficulties. That leader should be the most qualify. Cambodia have such leader, however; he's the greatest threat to Hun Sen and Hanoi government. What is holding Cambodian people from chosing that real leader is fear of retribution. Hun Sen and CPP goonies know who voted for who. These two forces have used fear, intimidation, and violence to suppress the opposition party, mainly the SRP. Hanoi government was the hidden high octane fuel behind the 1997 granade attack. Hanoi government is the invisible force standing behind to instruct Hun Sen what to do that would necessarily to end Sam Rainsy career and his political party.
