13-20 Thai soldiers killed during clashes on Friday (unconfirmed)

Truckloads of Cambodian troops are heading toward the frontline.

By Khmerization Sources: DAP News and CEN

Deum Ampil Online quoted a senior Cambodian military officer as saying that up to 20 Thai soldiers were killed during clashes at four locations in Choup Koki village, Thmor Daun village, Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples, while the Cambodian side had suffered only 3 dead and 6 wounded.

The same officer said that 20 Thai soldiers were killed during fighting at Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples. The Thai side, however, claimed that only 2 of its soldiers were killed. But the same Cambodian officer told Deum Ampil that after the fighting, the Thai side had asked for permission from the Cambodian side to send troops to retrieve the bodies of the dead soldiers but the Cambodian side only allowed 4 Thai soldiers to come each time to retrieve the corpses.

The same officer said that the clash started again at Ta Krabey temple at 12 midday when a group of Thai soldiers sneaked in to retrieve their bodies of their comrades. He said during the second fighting, the Thai side had fired 800 rounds of artillery rockets as deep as 20 kilometres into Cambodian territory, with many landed in Kork Morn village in Banteay Ampil district of Oddar Meanchey province, but no one was hurt.

The officer said that at 3 p.m Friday afternoon, the Thai side had sent 15 truckloads of fresh troops to Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples.

On the other hand, CEN has reported that 13 Thai soldiers were killed during fighting in 3 locations, where 3 corpses of Thai soldiers had not been retrieved yet during the second round of fighting at Ta Krabey temple at 12 midday today. Cambodian military sources said that the Thai side had asked for permission to come and retrieve the bodies of their dead comrades, but the permission was denied because the Cambodian side did not trust the Thai side for they have used trick in the past. On top of this, other news media outlets reported that more than 20 Thai soldiers were seriously wounded. The sources expected that because the Thai side was not allowed to come and retrieve the bodies of their dead comrades, a new round of fighting might reignite again tonight.

BK post"After yesterday's clashes, the Thai government quickly tried to play down its consequences and insisted that it could be a one-off incident. Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said the close proximity of troops between the two countries was the cause of the fighting.

"Whenever you have troops stationed near one another, there is always a likelihood of a clash breaking out," the prime minister said."
Bullshit Abhi-shit criminals never never admit of wrong doing always blames otherrs.

A one-off incident? This sort of "incident" occurred more than 4-5 times already because of the Thai encroachments. It happened on 15th Oct 2008, 3rd Apr 2009, 4-7 Apr 2011 and now 22nd Apr 2011. Every time the clashes happened it was because of Thai troops encroaching and moving into occupy Cambodian territory. The Thais will never be satisfied and will keep bullying Cambodia so long as Cambodia is still poor and weak militarily. The only way to stop this sort of bully is to modernize the Cambodian army and equipped our troops with modern weapons, fighter jets, tanks, artillery, long-range missiles and warships.

Cambodian side lost three soldiers, because of Thai para military sneaking behing and attack them first without any warning...Cambodia was not prepared or alert! We were chatting with other black Thai soldiers...normally! Then, they shooting at us first, said the sodier at Ta Krabei Temple...
