Gen. Srey Doek, commander of the Preah Vihear command, told DAP News at 11:40 p.m last night, Monday 21st February, that Thailand had secretly reinforced more troops to Preah Vihear frontlines at night time.

The general said he does know how many new Thai troops had been sent to the areas, but according to some reports indicated that 3,000 Thai troops had just been sent to the areas. A frontline commander said that they were sent to the second frontline, not the first frontline.

A soldier based at the Preah Vihear frontline told DAP News by telephone that he had heard loud noise of trucks and tanks at night time everywhere near the temple areas and that the troops are special commando forces.

News of Thai troop reinforcements came after two days when a ceasefire agreement was reportedly reached between Cambodian and Thai commanders on Saturday and one day before the Asean Minister' meeting in Indonesia today on the Khmer-Thai conflict.
