Dear Colleagues,
I'd like to inject my thoughts for your consideration and what any of us as Cambodian need to do or otherwise concerning the uproar over recent clashes in Preah Vihear.
Now that the Cambodian government has finally accepted its own policy failure in pursuing bilateral talks with Thailand, the UN has been requested for intervention, but not re-filling a lawsuit to the international court as it should have done two years ago. We knew the reasons behind as the government was trying to cover up since it affected the Eastern border, a portion of land the government has signed away to Vietnam under the so-called supplemental treaty of 1985.
The issue of Cambodian territorial integrity is not limited only to the dispute of Preah Vihear with Thailand, but also those farming lands and other villages being grabbed by Vietnam along the Eastern Frontier. We should take the opportunity, together as Cambodians, regardless which parties we belong to hold banners in protest against Thai's aggression as well as the Vietnamese encroachment of our land from the East. You need to call for the reconvening of the Paris Peace Accord 1993 and have the UN re-visiting the authenticity and actuality of Cambodia's map as agreed upon. Any communique should also emphasized on those two relevant points, East and West.
The recent event along the border has affected many lives and there were also casualties. It has also created an opportunity for all Cambodian to come together to force the Cambodian government to change its failed policy, and to seek help in ensuring our country's total territory,including but not limited to the verification of all lands belongs to Cambodia as signed and sealed under the Paris Peace Accord 1993.
So it's important that any rallies planned or in the process of planning should include banners as well as communique that stress both issues, border of Cambodia in its entirety, East and West. Otherwise, don't get trapped in the CPP's (Cambodian People's Party) political stupidity with Thailand alone while allowing Vietnam to speed up the land encroachment process. Until they start to file a lawsuit against Thailand, nothing is serious from the CPP, but to drag on and on until Vietnam completed its own encroachment project which is somewhere in 2012. When Vietnam blocked MPs who visited Khmer borders or planted poles inside Cambodia land, YOU DON'T SEE CPP SUPPORTERS go out and protest in the interests of Cambodia. If you are going to show your patriotism, then get all the issues raised and the slogan should go something like this "Aggression from Thailand, Land Encroachment from Vietnam". "UN needs to Reconvene on Paris Peace Accord". etc...

those are WAR REPARATIONS dude you can scream all you want still ain't going to do any good. Either Cambodia lost some land to Vietnam or Vietnam take all Cambodia. Remember Vietname save us from Pol Pot, Vietnam coming as a winner, "winner take all".
Vietname wasn't going to waste their soldier live to save you and go back home empty hand. NO GOING TO HAPPY. We luck Vietname took very small part of it.
WAR REPARATIONS are internally recognition. That parts I can tell you stop barking.
I think we must continue to bark anyway and let bark louder this time and we'll see what happen. Can our people have the same "freedom of expression" when it comes to the Vietnam's encroachment on our territories.
Why do Kos Trol, sea and lands proximately over 10 000 km2 have been lost to Vietnam by who treaty? Why don't Cambodia goverment transparency explain to cambodia army at front line and the whole nation about this? Why don't they include this into education system? Why?
Cambodian army are fighting at front line for 4.6 km2 and what's about over 10 000km2 of cambodia to Vietnam. Nobody dare to talk about it! Why? Cambodian army you are decide the fade of your nation, Cambodian army as well as cambodian people must rethink about this again and again. Is it fair?
Kos Trol, Sea and lands over 10 000km2 have been lost to Vietnam by who treaty at 1979 to 1985 treaty! treaty! Cambodian army at front line as well as all cambodian people must rethink again about these issues. Are cambodian army fighting to protect the Cambodia Nation or protect a very small group that own big lands, big properties or only protecting a small group rather in the real name of protecting khmer nation?
Cambodian army at front line suffer under rain, wind, bullets, bombs,lack of foods, lack of nutrition, their families have no health care help, no securities after they die but a very small group eat well, sleep well, sleep in first class hotel with air conditioning with young girls message, have super health care from oversea medical treatment, they are billionairs, millionairs who sell out the country to be rich and make cambodian people suffer everyday as cambodian people know already.
Who signed the treaty 1979-1985 that result lost over 10 000 km2 of Cambodia??? Why don't they transparency inform all Cambodian and cambodian army at front line about these issues? Why don't include Kos Trol ( Kos Trol size is bigger than the whole Phom Phen with planty of natural resources ) in education program?

The war with Thai are also a diversion from eastern to yuon about border demarcation of 2012 completion!!!! It's obvious it's a diversion that is why it no news or bickering. And those who make noise will be arrested or kick out of office or country!! And news that talk about this will be blocked like when people say something about vat kimhong on ki- media.
