HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 9 (acn) Cuban Vice President Esteban Lazo Hernandez met on Thursday with a delegation from Cambodia’s parliament led by Heng Samrin (pictured), President of the legislative body.
Samrin passed on greetings on behalf of his government to Cuban Revolution leader Fidel and Cuban President Raul Castro and expressed his appreciation for the Cuban government and people’s contribution to the development of Cambodia.
Lazo Hernandez and Samrin highlighted both governments’ interest in strengthening bonds of friendship and collaboration.
The visiting delegation includes presidents of parliamentary commissions and other deputies. He was also accompanied by Cambodian ambassador to Cuba Hay Sonnarin.
Other Cuban government officials present in the meeting were Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of Cuban Communist Party’s Central Committee Oscar Martinez Cordoves, among others.
